WoodMarvels.com 2010 November Review
Before I realized it, almost a quarter of December had passed and I hadn’t even done a November review! November was an amazing month, highest traffic, payouts and sales… EVER!
So, what happened at WoodMarvels.com over the past month of November?
- Stephane, our newest designer, designed an amazing Farmer Junior Tractor
- WoodMarvels.com became an official Vector Clip 3D Reseller
- I wrote about the importance of designing stuff for WoodMarvels.com myself after realizing I hadn’t designed anything for a while and also a guest blog post for Ponoko regarding how I make my assembly animations
- The WoodMarvels.com Wooden Mars Rover: Opportunity/Spirit was picked-up by MAKE Magazine blog after Angus (of Hines Design Labs fame) put it together
- Ponoko wrote a small piece about our wooden Mars Rover, followed-up by showing a video produced by my association with Hines Design Labs.
- Richard bought and documented the building of our Chinook Helicopter, cut with a CNC machine instead of laser… looks amazing!
- I launched a new Testimonials page on WoodMarvels.com
- As part of my project with Angus, he documented the cutting and assembly of the Mars Rover, which I released through the month to show others how cool laser cut (in this case) designs are from start to finish.
- Fabbaloo did a short write-up about WoodMarvels.com’s sister company, 3DMarvels.com.
- I released a new model for WoodMarvels.com, the Army Transport Truck and showed the evolution of my truck designs through the years. After, I wrote about how the design evolved.
- … and finally, I released another laser cutting video, thanks to Angus about the Model T Runabout.
December Plans
A really cool car design is done, just waiting for the animation to finish and working on a secret project in association with Trotec Austria… more details about that sometime in February. In the meantime, will get some other designer’s work done-up.
