Off to ShopBot Tools HQ!

For those of you who don’t know, ShopBot Tools is a designer and builder of CNC routers for fabricating with wood, plastic, aluminum & more… the more will soon include just bout every WoodMarvels.com model past, present and future!

I’ll be attending their CNC router training event at ShopBot Tools HQ for a few days to learn how to use a CNC and after some additional intensive training following it, coming back to Canada with a ShopBot Desktop machine to begun the enjoyable task of cutting every model on WoodMarvels.com. But, that’s just the beginning!

ShopMarvels.com TV Show

For the past 3 years, I’ve been designing my models and publishing those of others on WoodMarvels.com without actually cutting and assembling my designs… now that I have thousands of SKUs it’s time to make, assemble and more importantly video tape the entire process from start to finish. This will become the ShopMarvels.com TV Show! It’s just a happy co-incidence that SHOPbot Tools and woodMARVELS make up the name perfectly.

At first, it will be focused on WoodMarvels.com designs but I hope to branch out to include stuff from 3DMarvels.com once I get my hands on a decent 3D printer as well as business profiles and events. To complicate things a little more, I’m going to be moving far away in a few months (yet again) so dragging all this stuff will be an interesting task in on itself.

ShopMarvels.com is about YOU too!

I needed something generic enough on a video platform, hence why I recently re-launched ShopMarvels.com that doesn’t only allow me to post my TV show but others to join in the fun as well posting their own stuff too! So if you are interested in designing, machines, CNC, lasers or even just cool technology… this is the site for you!

So, I’m heading off with my Nikon D40, tons of video equipment, my laptop (lots of accessories) and coming back up here to Canada from their US HQ with the addition of a ShopBot Desktop and lots of passion!
