Kangaroo Laptop Holder: New CNC Laser/Router Project Launch!

I had a problem here at CNCKing.com, my laptop kept getting too hot and shutting down… the solution out there all had fans and although were very effective, it wasn’t what I was after. I wanted something that I could make myself, with my CNC router (or laser) that was unique. I’m in Australia and just finished the Kangaroo Shelf so I though I’d using elements from that model to make this one.

If you cut the head off and put an arm… you have the same angle needed to hold a laptop up and the build worked so great for my shelf, I used many of those elements for the laptop holder. This finished model had 10 pieces with dimensions @ 6 mm (1/4 inch) thick material, L: 460 W: 350 H: 300 (mm) or L: 18-7⁄64 W: 13-25⁄32 H: 11-13⁄16 (in).

You can find it right now at CNCKing.com under Collaboration / Table Router / Cantin. Of course, you can make this project with both your laser and router… and if you are adventurous (and have a good budget and machine) a plasma cutter too out of solid steel!
