F35 Joint Strike Fighter: New Product Release
I’ve just launched a new project, a fantastic looking F35 Joint Strike Fighter. The nice thing about having a growing catalog of products here on WoodMarvels.com is that if something takes a little extra time, it’s alright as there is plenty for customers to choose from on the site already! Believe it or not, this is roughly the 130th product available on at WoodMarvels.com (excluding puzzles which add another 100 or so).
This model was designed by David Newman who is also the designer behind the earlier D-Cell Working Rocket A which is an actual, fully functional wooden rocket! I notice a pattern with these two designs so far, the use of circular supports surrounded by straight objects, given them a very unique look but also making them incredibly strong! Where I’ve relied on the use of intersecting and locking “square” parts, his designs are at the other end of the spectrum relying on “arches” for their strength.

You can buy this model in physical form, downloadable PDF plans and EPS file to cut on your own laser cutter right now! It’s also a very decent size, at 60 cm in length! Here at WoodMarvels.com we don’t shy away from making things BIG! 🙂 We aren’t about making cheap wood pressed kits… we are into making solid pieces that will follow you through life! Believe it or not, that little flying sequence took two weeks to render!
To find both the F35 Joint Strike Fighter and D-Cell Working Rocket A models, go to WoodMarvels.com and click on Collaborations in the top menu and select David Newman.
