WoodMarvels.com Models at Maker Faire North Carolina 2011 (video)

I got an e-mail from Maker Faire and while watching the video… I noticed a few familiar designs! I can’t embed both videos so here’s the link. They rather stand-out as the are the only wooden and laser cut things that are big toys there!

In the first video, you’ll see the laser cut Mars Rover Opportunity cut by Angus Hines and in the second, the CNC routed Platform Crane B cut by ShopBot Tools at their respective booths.

The Platform Crane B CNC design you see there is unique, there is only one of those in the world as it was adapted from the original laser design by me before I got into CNC routing – it was much bigger than the one for sale at the CNC table router section on this site.
