WoodMarvels.com April 2011 Review
The WoodMarvels.com brand keeps growing on a global basis…. from international sales to designers sending me some impressive work! Consider this, the past four month of sales are equivalent to 75% of all of 2010 sales on the site and this is normally a dead time sales wise!
So, what happened at WoodMarvels.com over the past month of April?
- I designed and released some new models including: Easter Island Secret Storage Head Bookend, Spring Basket and Rusk Straf Dual-Ramjet Stealth Plane.
- Mathew joined our ranks of designers with his Bobcat Mini.
- I completed the layout for WoodMarvels.com Volume 3: Evolution of Designs
- Designed and held-back the release of the Physics Trophy for Trotec Lasers for use in an Australian show.
Plans for the month of May
Finish the first draft of WoodMarvels.com Volume 3 book (editing, cover art etc.) – still gunning for July/August release time frame. I’m in a constant rendering backlog… theme of the year actually – am seriously eyeing Dell’s Dual 6-core Xeon industrial workstations with 24GB ram and 6GB GPU but the 12K price tag is a little steep but if I want to get into 3D stereoscopic 4K resolution 3D assembly animations… a growing necessity! I love HP but they don’t seem to have an equivalent. Funny thing is, I’m rendering the book cover right now (just the front) and it’s taken 2 days so far… and still going – this is just one image!
