Updating naming conventions and file consolidation

Classified under ‘tedious, slow and boring’ but somebody has to do this and I’m the only guy here! I’ve decided to update the naming conventions after I got a few e-mails that WoodMarvels.com DXF files work fine on lasers too! I’ve been meaning to update a few other files as well in the back end so I might as well get this done at the same time. The new naming convention is also more accurate with those of you using online international translators when processing your orders on the site. So, over the next day (for example)

Humpback Whale (DXF for CNC Router – 6mm)

will magically be renamed

Humpback Whale (Digital DXF File for CNC/Laser – 6mm)

Luckily, I only have 77 DXF files available on WoodMarvels.com, after that, it’s doing a refresh of the EPS files of which there are exponentially more then the PDF files… then it’s onto new and fun stuff again! Yet another reason to release a book every year or so… it’s a good excuse to update lots of files and improve on naming conventions!

EPS Consolidation

An artifact of past thinking, many earlier models came in multiple EPS sizes well, that doesn’t make much sense to me anymore so I’m now in the process of consolidating them into one file. So,  you just buy the EPS and pick the size you wish to cut after you download the digital file.

Medieval Castle Walls B (EPS for Laser Cutter – 4mm)
Medieval Castle Walls B (EPS for Laser Cutter – 6mm)

will magically be renamed

Medieval Castle Walls B (Digital EPS Optimized File for Laser Cutter – 4-6mm)

The process also released about 20 new EPS files from older models which I never got around to releasing in EPS format before.
