Spinning Geared Box: New CNC Laser Cutter Project!

Measuring L/W/H: 295 (mm) or L/W/H: 11-39⁄64 (in) using 4 mm (5⁄32 inch) thick material – this Spinning Geared Box is a very unique take on a storage box.

The precision of the gears, that actually work, is achievable thanks to the 0.1mm tolerance level of the laser beam itself – to make this project with a table router by comparison would require more than 3mm tolerances due to a round spinning bit…. basically, the entire project and gears would need to be scaled-up at least 3x and even then I’d have my doubts about the gears working as well as it would need inner square areas t-boned (hence needing even larger scaling).
