Semi-trailer Truck: New Product Release

Semi-trailer (Big Rig) Truck

Haul your stuff!

Wow… it’s incredible what new software upgrades can bring to the animations I produce for each of our products, the latest being the Semi-trailer Truck! This product is the first in many respects at WoodMarvels.com. It’s the first animation produced in 720p (High Definition), it’s the first product to be released in a laser cut plywood kit, laser cutting EPS file, PDF blueprints and DXF for all you guys with a router. Not only that, but this is by far the most high quality video I’ve ever produced for WoodMarvels.com using two recent software upgrades, Sony Vegas which is a dream to work with and 3DS Max 2011 which allows me to do incredible things… this is only the beginning!

I’m fighting the urge to re-render all my animations in 720p simply because I plan on re-rendering them in 3DHD by the end of the year so if you have special glasses or 3D monitor, the animations will pop-out of your monitor. I can’t wait!

Back to the Semi-trailer Truck, you can find it under Category / Vehicles / Construction under the formats previously mentioned. Assembly is pretty straight forward using minimal number of pieces but at the same time, challenging enough to keep somebody interested in the final outcome.

It features a pivoting trailer, working wheels and plenty of hauling room, engine not included 😉

As you can clearly see, I’ve worked-out the kinks experienced with the Stereo Bank release a few weeks ago which raises a new problem… my devolution video is going to be at a lower resolution due to images being rendered in a smaller size. Time to upgrade that aspect of my flow through on the next model.

Stereo Bank: 3D Assembly Animation (for comparison sake)

This is my new favorite 3D assembly video here on WoodMarvels.com, a very close second is the Medieval Castle Walls B which I still enjoy watching. The music I made is better for the castle but the video quality is better for the Truck 😉

What’s next?

An attack helicopter of course!
