Rusk Fortress Updated

I really can’t believe how fast time goes, I launched the design for my Rusk Fortress after writing my first science fiction novel, 2847 AD as a way to visualize area in the book and as part of that, 3D animation was required.

This is the 3D animation of the Rusk Fortress back in May 2009 so almost a decade ago! That’s how “old” CNCKing.com (then WoodMarvels.com) actually is… this was roughly a year or two after I officially launched the site.

The update to this Rusk Fortress is a million times better, took a while to render the semi-transparent version on my industrial workstation but overall, it’s a major upgrade in 3D to better show the assembly and material options possible using my designs.

If you are interested in this file, it can be made using a CNC router, CNC laser, CNC waterjet and CNC plasma cutter with the only caveat being that you make a few modifications for each to account for their various quirks (we don’t do tech support so don’t ask us to do this for you).

It’s fun going back on these very “old” designs to give them a fresh coat of paint, you can buy the files at CNCKing.com.
