Paulo’s Load Truck: New CNC Table Router Project Launch!

Paulo's Load Truck

Paulo's Load Truck

Paulo sent WoodMarvels.com his really cool load truck months ago but I was focused on getting as many CNC table router projects out the door as possible so I told him he’d have to wait till I got through my backlog but the more I looked at his amazing laser design, the more I wanted to adapt it to be cut with my ShopBot Desktop! So I asked him for permission to do so and luckily he said yes

I’m moving to Australia in a little over two weeks so I really look forward to cutting this project on the laser machines waiting for me there – this is a great case study for the differences between the two technologies!

The project is 76 pieces but the way Paulo designed it, it’s incredibly easy to put together as pieces are distinct and their placement very intuitive. His laser cutter design has less pieces, I just increased the piece count to make it stronger for CNC’ing at a larger scale. The finished model has dimensions of L: 60cm, W: 19cm, H: 23cm and is cut across four 500mm x 400mm sheet of plywood 6mm (1/4 inch) thick.

As usual, the digital files are available in partworks, Adobe Illustrator, EPS & DXF file formats. I encourage you to check-out the proof of concept video below – you really need to see the scale of this project to fully appreciate it! You can find this project under Collaborations / Paulo at WoodMarvels.com.
