More news about WoodMarvels.com: 50 Laser Cutting Plans

As you can see, there are far more than 50 models in this book, but I think it’s important to under-promise and over-deliver. Unlike my first book, this one is being professionally proof-read as well, once that process is done, I will be copying the changes over to the blueprint files so that everything across the site PDF wise is the same. Yes, some of these models were in my previous book but they have since been “de-doweled” which means that all the parts can be cut on a laser, no more needing to source wooden dowels, so I decided that update warranted having them in the book.

Volume a year?

I have really streamlined operations here big time, as such, my hope is to keep designing new and interesting things, collaborating with other designers and as such, releasing a new volume each fall. I really enjoy the designing process as there is so much to learn and the feedback I get from others (good or bad) is great! I figure I can design over 50 new things a year, give or take, depending on complexity and throw-in collaborations… I don’t see a problem though my computer won’t be happy at all the rendering it must do, in HD no less!

This upcoming book release is the reason why I have removed my book from the main WoodMarvels.com site… it’s a huge improvement in every way, almost 200 pages and it’s really worth the wait!

Time line

I figure it will take 2-3 proofs before I have a finished, polished product, my hope is that it will be done and released sometime in the end of September but most likely, we are looking at October. Once the proof is approved, it takes a few weeks before a book is made available through Amazon and other channels. I don’t yet know the price but it will be much cheaper than buying and downloading blueprints from our site individually.
