MK5 Bobcat: New Laser Cutter Project Launch!

If you have some 19mm thick board laying around, you want to cut this Bobcat with your laser cutter – it’s a fantastic size and made an appearance at Trotec Laser’s Sydney VIIE 2013 just last week. The completed 42 piece model has dimensions @ 19mm of L: 480, W: 290, H: 270 (mm) or @ 7-31⁄64 inch L: 18-57⁄64 W:11-27⁄64 H: 10-5⁄8 (in).

The model doesn’t come with the Trotec branding but you can easily add it back if you so desire or personalize it with your own name if you want. You can find it right now in EPS, AI and DXF file formats at CNCKing.com under Collaboration / Laser / Newman.

It has spinning wheels, a working shovel out front and protective axle supports underneath. A very simple yet effective slot based assembly as you can see in the 3D animation of an earlier model makes this incredibly easy to build.
