Merry Christmas Text Tree: New CNC Laser Cutting Project!

Made-up of two pieces, this Merry Christmas Text Tree by David Newman (Collaboration / Laser / Newman) is easy to put together and take down with only two pieces!

What I really like about David’s design is the intricacy and level of detail he has in this model considering it’s only two pieces… it really shows you how “easy” a high quality CNC laser cutter project can be using only a few parts. You don’t need a complex assembly of pieces to make something cool, you can just make a 2D vector with a base that’s 90 degrees to support it and you are done!

Using 19mm material, the total dimensions are L: 173, W: 88, H: 280 (mm) or @ 3⁄4 inch L: 6-13⁄16 W:3-15⁄32 H: 11-1⁄32 (in) though this is easily scaled up and you can modify the base for thicker or thinner stock. You can get it right now on CNCKing.com in DXF, AI and EPS file formats.
