Medieval Castle Video Updated
The design I made for the Medieval Castle that ended-up at the World’s Toy Faire in Germany almost a decade ago still looks great today as it did back then though you can tell the photo resolution which was great back then is starting to show it’s age.
I actually designed this model specifically for Trotec and the toy show years ago, I believe it was for their official launch of the SP1500 which, up until then, the biggest format CNC laser they had was the Speedy 500.
What’s really surprising me about these updates of almost a decade of content being brought not only back to life but also up to today’s standards is how my designs really haven’t aged at all.
I can tell right away it’s an older animation, besides the WoodMarvels.com branding but overall, I think 3D animations are wonderful because they can be updated every decade to 4x the resolution of the previous animation production with some new more render intensive scenes that years ago just wouldn’t be possible.
I really enjoyed designing this Medieval Castle years ago, these buildings are timeless and always fun to build and share with others.
Up until that point, the only big medieval castle I designed was the one above, which was a lot simpler repeated design and actually, I designed the Medieval Castle to fit inside of these walls initially because in reality, even the best castle requires walls so everything is actually proportional between the two designs.
