How to make a simple 3D printed Medieval Castle Walls
This is a simple little castle walls that shows how to build a structure for a 3D extrusion printer. This project and a bunch more are available at CNCKing.com.
First step is making the square which representsmy build area.
I’ve now made my first wall and roughly outlined where I want things to be.
I will then extrude this wall in proportion (same thickness as the upper wall divides) and duplicate it three times to form a square.
I now brought the castle down a bit so I can begin playing with the width. At the same time, I deleted the arch from the other three walls so that there is only one entrance way.
I now made the inner walkways by making a C-shape using my line tool and extruding it to the height I want. I also modified the arch in the front to be more rounded to make sure the extrusion process happens seamlessly there.
I now created an inner slightly elevated ledge. I can now begin working on the inside castle parts.
Just under five hours to print these walls, not bad!
