Getting my head shaved!

Back in October of 2011, I made a promise to my wife that I wouldn’t shave or cut my hair again until we met again a few months later – we were both in China and applying to settle in Australia. Well, what we thought would take but a few months ended-up taking 8 months – each week thinking that it would be over the following one!

So, that’s why you’ve seen my ShopBot Cutting and Assembly videos with a generous beard and full head of hair growing as you see below. Having a good sized beard was fun, though I hated eating and drinking with an equally full mustache. I figure the next time I let it grow like this is when I’m an old man playing Santa to kids at orphanages… giving them toys I’ve cut with my laser, cnc table router and 3d printer.

Well, I have a backlog of ShopBot projects so those videos of me with the hair and beard will continue for a few months but if you want to get an idea of what I look like now’ish… check-out my wife’s video – the last 2 minutes is her cutting my hair and shaving me. We were finally together again and the promise had been kept.
