Ferris Wheel B: New Woodworking Project Released!

I built my first laser cut ferris wheel a while back below is the animation of the now retired model.

Although the model went well, it has some issues that mostly geared around the gears as they were done by eye. I’ve since acquired a program that generates accurate physical gears and the updated Ferris Wheel uses it. There have also been a host of refinements to the point that were based off customer feedback. This model is “500% better” (from a customer) than the previous one actually!

It’s a good size too, measuring out at roughly 40cm square with a width of 20cm using 4mm material. Total piece count: 107! But don’t worry, most of this is due to the repetition of the 12 seats.

It’s available right now in PDF, EPS and DXF as well as physical laser cut kit. Just take a look at Category / Buildings under the WoodMarvels.com heading. I should have some pictures shortly to show this model.

Server migration done!

Moving WoodMarvels.com along with the other businesses I run took way longer than I would have hoped but now that this is behind me, I can concentrate yet again on getting some amazing models available for all of you. The next dragon to slay is rendering times but until that time, lots of new stuff coming out shortly!
