Electronics Award Updated

As I begin my quest of updating CNCKing.com and unifying the branding of the site through video and photography, a very important part of that are the 3D animations that help people see how the digital files they buy from us come together.

There are some REALLY OLD imagery and animations on this site that never got updated, hence why you still see some WoodMarvels.com branded content (which was since rebranded CNCKing.com) and this Electronics Award I designed eons ago is a prime example of that.

Here’s what the old 3D assembly animations looked like for this product.

It isn’t bad actually, its aged well, and here is the update incorporating both of the above animations with a few updates – I prefer that way better than the old, regardless of the old branding.

I think it’s a far cleaner look, those engravings were a neat addition to the original 3D assembly animation but we aren’t Jul 30, 2011 anymore and since then, not only has the site changed dramatically as software and hardware improvements have happened but so has rendering speeds.

I can now literally render something at 1080HD about 10x faster than my original laptop when I was in my little Korean apartment all those years ago slaving away designing these CNCKing.com projects.

I also renamed this from Electronics Trophy to Electronics Award… based on my experience working at Evright.com back when I was in Australia that happened many years after this was first put together.

You can find all the digital files at CNCKing.com to make your own, this is for a CNC laser, technically it can also be made using a CNC router and CNC plasma but not without some heavy mods… if you love dog bones, this is the perfect CNC router project for you!

Trophies are trinkets, awards are worth winning!
