Egyptian Pyramid: New 3D Printing Project

This is actually the second 3D printed project I design, the first being a Ford Model T that I made well over two years ago but I’ve learned so much since then and having a 3D Systems 2nd Generation Cube for testing really allows me to push out a bunch of tested and proved 3D printing projects.

My goal with this project was to see how close to the maximum build size I could print, get an idea of printing speeds (this one took 10 hours) and establish a lot of other standards for future models. I can spend all day designing stuff but without testing and SEEING the process behind the 3D printing by the Cube. One of my ongoing complaints about the virtual world is that I’m held back in the physical due to the laws of Physics. Arg!

You can buy this project right now on CNCKing.com under 3D Printer / Building in two “versions”, the one that’s shown in the video below and another that’s hallow from the bottom upwards which uses far less material though maybe not extrusion friendly – I made it for SLS type 3D printing machines.

I’m now 3D printing a bunch of heads… lots more coming!
