CNC Chinook… coming soon!

I’ve spent the past week and a half redesigning (laser to CNC isn’t as straight forward as I thought it would be) and cutting and assembling model after model thanks to my handy ShopBot Desktop machine and just in time… the weather has gone from cool to just cold up here in Canada!

The CNC projects are coming along nicely – hoping to have a stream of them released within the coming days… but here is the largest CNC project I’ve managed to make so far with my ShopBot Desktop – a Chinook Helicopter… still in the blocks until the glue sets in but this guy took 6 x 500mm x 400mm sheets (6mm thick) and was great fun assembling – should have the video up in a few days but the animation will be out around early next month… along with the plans to make your very own CNC Chinook!

During the entire process of CNC’ing these projects, I’ve been recording, from cutting to assembly for each CNC model and am hoping to do the same for all the laser projects on WoodMarvels.com as well in a few months. Here is a preview of the Model-T – CNC version from cutting to assembly so you get an idea of how these videos go.
