Bird House E: New Laser Cutting Project Launch!
A few weeks ago I launched a newly designed Bird House D so it only makes sense that a follow-up featuring a picket fence for holding seeds “around the house” be given the next letter in the alphabet… E!
When all is cut and assembled using 6 mm (1/4 inch) thick material, the dimensions you’ll end-up with are L: 396 W: 420 H: 372 (mm) or L: 15-19⁄32 W: 16-17⁄32 H: 14-41⁄64 (in). The house is almost identical to the D designation except for a few slight mods to ease the building process.
Where can you get it? Well, head over to CNCKing.com and you’ll find it under CNC Laser /
Outdoors… It took me years to get around building new bird houses – they are great fun… might make a few more with a more complicated design… simple is great but not much of a challenge anymore. I do like the design though – just need to further refine and augment it.
Although these models could be easily modified to be cut with a CNC router instead of a laser, I think I’ll keep them in the laser section – I have some other ideas for stuff that’s router friendly for our avian cousins.
