Awesome Dozer: New CNC Laser Project Launch!

Jonathan has been making some very awesome models… I was so impressed with his abilities that I included a section in my book where he shows the thought and work that goes into making one of this creations. It’s quite informative and impressive!

Jonathan sent me the files a while back but like the pictures show, it’s based off round dowels which, although great, cause me nothing but frustration that I don’t want to put my CNCKing.com customers through (unless they wish) so I asked him to make a few slight mods to his model to use square pegs cut at the same time as the rest of the model.

The dimensions of his model @ 3.2 mm (1/8 inch) thick material are L: 250 W: 135 H: 125 (mm) or L: 9-27⁄32 W: 5-5⁄16 H: 4-59⁄64 (inches) – they are the same whether you make the dowel or peg version.

I will be producing a 3D assembly animation for this model shortly, it’s just an awesome model and it will need assembly instructions as well… so for now, you can buy the CNC file containing both versions but it’s up to you to figure-out how to put it together. Luckily, this model has a lot of unique parts so it isn’t that hard to work this out… that’s what I do when I build digital versions of these files for rendering and animating.
