I originally build a laser version of the Army Transport Truck a long time ago but since getting my ShopBot Desktop, I’ve always had in the back of my mind to make a CNC version of this one. The model, as you’ll see in the live video link below – is much larger than the original!

How big is it? Try 63 pieces creating a model with the dimensions of L: 44cm, W: 15cm, H: 16cm cut across three 500mm x 400mm, 6mm thick sheet of plywood. This is one of the few models which I have both the laser cutter and CNC table router versions which makes for fun comparisons which I’ve outlined in the video as well.
