Argh.. must purchase laser cutter…

I had a FaceBook comment today that made me smile.

I’ve been waiting since 2008 for somebody to tell me that they were inspired enough with the designs found on CNCKing.com that they are motivated to purchase a CNC machine!

I hinted at the general purpose of this site to educate and motivate people around the world to get onto CNC designing – it’s great fun and you learn more than you ever could watching TV. It’s active, challenges you across a variety of fronts and best of all, can become an income source for you! I really think that if kids, yes KIDS were introduced to 3D printers, plasma cutters (yes, they are nasty but cool never the less), table routers and laser cutters… heck, even waterjets and rotary/5-axis machines, they would be inspired for the rest of their lives to create instead of consume.

Imagine having a whole generation of kids around the world who find pleasure out of creating amazing technology and devices to help all of us! It’s a massive opportunity that I really look forward to teaching my kids when I do have them… CNC machines are powerful and extremely safe if properly operated and if CNCKing.com is any measure of what’s possible – full of endless mind-expanding potential and fun!
