Abstract Bank B: Redesigned, HD’ed and EPS’ed!
When I first started WoodMarvels.com, I wanted to make a bunch of banks and the second one I ever made was our Abstract Bank B. It has been years since that time and as a result, the design has had to be modified to be 100% laser cut-able without needing a trip to the local hardware store for some round dowels.
This updated design is slightly larger than the original, features more storage room, thanks to what I learned making the Mayan Temple Bank and is even easier to build! Believe it or not, this guy took a day to render in 3D as well! I decided to up the HD quality to match YouTube’s to 560 x 340 which means there won’t be any up-scaling. The original animation below was produced at 320 x 240 so you have more than twice the pixels from the original… hence the massive upgrade in quality 🙂 I would love to be able to render my stuff at full HD, 1920 x 1080 but with my current setup, that would probably take a week to render! Fear not, all the files are digital so I can re-render to higher quality once I get an octa-core laptop in a year from now. I can only imagine how cool the stuff I make by then will be… so much stuff yet to be designed!!!
Anyways, you can find this and other banks under Category / Banks at WoodMarvels.com and is now available in various laser cut kit sizes, EPS file configurations and downloadable PDF file as well!
