3D Systems Cube Arrived & Setup
I got my 3D Systems Cube two days ago and finally got around to setting it up in the studio – next up… 3D printing. Tomorrow is a GOOD FRIDAY to get 3D printing some of the models I’ve designed and will release once they are tested for the Cube. I will be filming and animating each of these projects that thankfully won’t require any assembly – otherwise, what’s the point of a 3d printer?
There are a few projects here on CNCKing.com that can be printed using a FDM 3D printer like the Cube I now have access to so I’ll give those a try and see how they go – exciting! I’ll post a full review once I’ve had a chance to play with the Cube for a few models worth of time – still no idea how fast things will be printed but I thought the first generation Cubes were pretty quick when I saw them about a year ago, this one is 2x faster as it’s the second generation but it has double the resolution as well so it might be the same speed as before but with the added bonus of way more resolution!
It’s now a national holiday for the next four days here in Australia so that gives me plenty of time to play around and get some serious 3D printing going – I bought three additional PLA spindles so I should be alright for a good long while. Videos and animations coming soon!
